Commercial Fitness Equipment
Preventative maintenance service
Totally Fitness is the UK’s leading supplier of fitness equipment. It has been established for more than 10 years, has seven shops, two large warehouses and an experienced technical support operation.
A preventative maintenance contract includes two visits a year from one of our trained engineers. The fitness equipment will be fully serviced and examined for wear and tear. Friction areas will be lubricated or waxed, machine alignments will be adjusted and voltage will be checked. If any faults or problems are detected as part of the preventative maintenance visit – they will ideally be rectified on the spot with any additional equipment parts being charged to the client at cost. Where the equipment is still under warranty – there will not be a charge for parts. If a subsequent visit is required the client will be charged £120 for the first hour and then £75 an hour for subsequent hours (usually a problem relating to a piece of equipment can be resolved in an hour) – again parts will be charged cost.
After each preventative maintenance visit the engineer will provide a completed inspection report that can be displayed for insurance purposes in the gym.
Why take out a contract?
Prolong equipment life – By investing in the service and maintenance of the equipment you will prolong its life and reduce the risk of costly and inconvenient breakdowns. To validate your warranty it is important that the equipment is regularly serviced.
Meet health & safety regulations – Employers have a duty to make sure the equipment used by their staff is safe to use. It is important to know that a treadmill belt will not slip or a bike crank is not cracked. Your inspection report can be displayed in the gym.
Minimum downtime – By maintaining your equipment in top condition you will minimise the risk of the equipment breaking and having to inconvenience users by having to place ‘out of order signs’ on the equipment. If potential problems are identified early then the cost and time needed to resolve the issue is generally less.
