Home gym users may be interested in a number of new high-tech options revealed at the International Health, Racquet & Sportsclub Association"s annual International Trade Show, a blogger has reported.
According to Emily Matchar of Outside Blog, a new series of Koko strength training machines developed by Star Trac feature video screens, which demonstrate proper technique and speed.
Ms Matchar added that other machines developed by Star Trac, Precor, Life Fitness and Technogym include iPod-compatible sensors that enable users to download information to home computers or gym equipment.
She also highlighted a series of cardio training equipment, which allows users to save their workouts onto a USB stick, which can then be downloaded onto a personal computer to create customised fitness programmes.
Meanwhile, iPod and Nike recently announced an updated version of its Nike+iPod sports system, while the sporty clothing manufacturer also unveiled plans for its new Nike SportsBand workout tracker this week.
