A new sportswear brand designed for active new mothers and mums-to-be is set to launch in the UK this month, it has emerged.

The Sporty Bump brand, which claims to bring "style and comfort to pre and post natal workouts across the UK", will initially consist of four pieces - On The Bump shorts, Under The Bump capri trousers, a cross-over top and a racerback vest - in classic black.

Both tops provide inner support, while the Under The Bump capri trousers have been described as "perfect for yoga" and the On The Bump shorts are stretchy enough to accommodate an expanding baby bump.

The manufacturer claims all items in the collection can be used for a number of fitness activities, including working out at home with a pilates or yoga DVD, walking, cycling and running.

A number of prenatal yoga DVDs are currently available for mums-to-be in the UK, including Gaiam Prenatal Yoga, which is presented by instructor Shiva Rea.
