A new fitness DVD from former Emmerdale, Hollyoaks and Bad Girls star Claire King aims to show that people who exercise can still look and feel good in their middle age, according to reports.

The Birmingham Mail states the 46-year-old Harrogate-born actress decided to start exercising after noticing her body had become "saggy and baggy" since turning 40.

She worked with a personal trainer who devised a customised regime incorporating core stability and tension exercises to maximise the benefits of her workout.

Her DVD, Claire King"s Ultimate Body Workout, includes sections of these types of exercises alongside its other workouts to help people adopt them into their own fitness routine.

"It took me ten weeks to reach the point I wanted to and I noticed the improvements after about three," King told the newspaper.

She also recommended that people take part in the workout three times a week in order to see benefits.
