The benefits of using a range of tools, including dumbbells, to develop a stronger back and a better posture have been highlighted by an expert.

Writing for the azcentral.com, Yvette Craddock, a fitness expert, noted that a stronger back offers a range of benefits, most notably improved posture.

Users of home gyms can use dumbbells and barbells to perform a range of exercises to improve their all-round levels of fitness, Ms Craddock suggested.

She said that a number of moves, such as the dumbbell dead lift and the dumbbell row, as well as the inverted row could all be performed in a bid to improve back strength, which may in turn go on to improve posture.

For home gym users looking to acquire a range of different weights, one set of dumbbells from Bowflex may prove to be appealing.

Men"s Health magazine recently stated that the weights should be part of the ultimate home gym.
